Dadri is the front-runner power station of the National Thermal Power Corporation. Certified for both ISO 14001 and ISO 9002, the station has been excelling in power generation, bagging the meritorious Productivity Awards for Excellence in Power Generation year after year. The coal units of the station have been adjudged as the best performing station of NTPC for 5 consecutive years (1997-2002). Situated just 60 km from Delhi in the district of Gautambudh Nagar, U.P., the station is committed to generating green & reliable power.

The station has the unique distinction of having Asia's first 100% dry ash extraction with transit ash storage silos and final storage place converted to a green ash mound. An Ash Technology Park has also been set up to demonstrate the uses of ash, which has become the main point of attraction for all visitors.

USES OF COAL ASH

Dadri ash has been successfully used in the following applications:

• Land fills
• Road embankments
• Road construction
• Building products
• Concrete

The use of Dadri ash in the above applications has resulted in savings in terms of money, conservation of natural resources like mother earth, lime stone, coal, sand, energy, land and water. In addition, the reduction in carbon-di-oxide emission has contributed to the greater health of the environment.
